The Faculty of Applied Sciences expands, enriches and advances its academic and practical work, adapting to contemporary trends and standards, first of all the labor market.

The study curricula are conceived based on the experiences of European universities, such as Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Technical University of Vienna, etc.

Studies at the Faculty of Applied Sciences are organized according to the model 4 (graduation) + 1 (master), as well as the integrated system of studies, i.e. the 5-year system in the study program of Architecture. Study programs of Architecture, Construction, Mechatronics, Traffic Engineering – transport, prepare professional and qualitative staff, who are easily involved in the practical work of construction operation, organizations for urbanization and design, metallurgical industry, technological and analytical units and traffic planning.

Architecture study program
The Architecture study program is constantly expanded, promoted and enriched with scientific, educational and professional activities, adapting to the world trends and standards, as well as the needs of the economy and social communities. Educational plans and programs for studies in architecture are constantly improved in accordance with the progress of science and technology, and on the other hand, in accordance with the changes that have arisen in our society, as well as the needs for design, urbanism and spatial planning.
The integration of first and second cycle study programs ensures the integration of competencies and professional skills of students who have completed their studies and the opportunity for a better access to their profession in accordance with the national framework of professional qualifications, as well the education and permanent access for modern professional and scientific knowledge of staff and professionals in the field of architecture,  urban and spatial planning that are working on architectural projects and construction enterprises, local self-government units and other state institutions, public enterprises, as well as architects from scientific institutions and universities.
This ensures access to the profession of architect at different levels and in different areas that provides a comprehensive response to the needs of the labor market in the Republic of Macedonia.

Construction study program

The purpose of this program is the education of graduated engineer of construction in constructive management and infrastructure and roads, in accordance with the needs of society. The graduated of this program will gain all the knowledge and competencies to work professionally in the field of construction including the development of creative skills of the main problems, the development of critical thinking skills and teamwork, necessary for construction work; as well as the education of experts who possess basic knowledge in the field of construction and be able to make critical arguments, hypotheses, concepts and data in making decisions and solving engineering issues in creative way, to participate in planning, design and implementation of large-scale construction projects, be able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in further professional and academic development and engage in engineering and construction research using quantitative and qualitative research methodology.

For the purposes of organizing the proper teaching process as well as the development of competencies to students, several cabinets equipped with modern laboratory equipment for the control of construction materials have been put into operation (donation from the Technical University of Stuttgart).

Mechatronics study program
Mechatronics represents the discipline on mechanical systems, sensor systems, micrometer actor systems. Mechatronics engineers are employed: in education (as research associates or professors), private firms (managers, job leaders), mechanical enterprises, in the automotive industry or in the field of technology and communication, programming of machines for technological work processing, as well as in providing the diagnosis of damage and errors.
The graduated Mechatronics engineer has the skills to design mechatronic systems, then applies this to various manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors, develops and designs the work of mechatronic systems equipment, combines (integrates) various professional fields and optimizes and determines the level of work through the obtained results, completes the technical and economic requirements, realizes the design and application in automatic systems, process control and flexible industrial systems through the integration of hardware and software, manages the technical work teams and their activities and deals with the maintenance of objects and production systems.

Study program Traffic Engineering – Transport                                                                                 Traffic engineering – transport, direction Road traffic and transport is the discipline of efficient education of engineers, whose professionalism will respond to the needs for the development of society in our country and beyond in the region. The graduated engineer in this study program is trained in the design and implementation of modern systems in the field of traffic planning, road safety, organization, management (leadership) in transport organizations, transport logistics and the protection of living environment.

Some of the employment opportunities: transport organizations dealing with urban, interurban and international transport; road repair enterprises and agencies; the transport inspectorate in the ministry or in the municipality; as a clerk for the traffic report in the ministry or in the municipality; services where technical controls are performed; bureau for professional services for users in traffic; road design bureaus, horizontal and vertical signalization design, as well as traffic feasibility studies; bureau for expertise of traffic accidents; insurance companies for determining damages and rights while insuring vehicles; lecturer with all driving school management rights; in education (as scientific cooperator) or professors in vocational high schools; customs service’s;  leading positions in the traffic police and the unit for traffic accidents – traffic, etc.
